Elena Park, ACSW
Hello! My name is Elena, and I'm a Korean-American Associate Clinical Social Worker passionate about walking alongside individuals on their healing journey. I know that starting therapy can feel intimidating-especially when it means showing up and being vulnerable-so I want to recognize the courage it takes just to be here.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, cultural identity issues, and life transitions. My goal is to support you in building self-awareness, uncovering the "why" behind your patterns, and working together to develop practical, personalized coping strategies that align with your strengths and values.
My approach is relational, collaborative, and person-centered-therapy with me is not stuffy or one-size-fits-all. I meet you where you are, and together we'll create a space that's judgment-free, compassionate, and centered on your goals. I believe healing happens in connection, and I'm here to support you as your most authentic self.
I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), and I integrate evidence-based tools to support deep emotional processing and skill-building. I also bring a strengths-based lens to my work, believing firmly in the resilience and resourcefulness that have carried you this far.
As someone with experience working with the Asian-American community, I understand how culture and identity shape our worldview, and I strive to honor those nuances in therapy.
I earned my Master's in Social Work from Columbia University and my Bachelor's in Psychology and Social Behavior, with a minor in Educational Sciences, from the University of California, Irvine.
Wherever you are in your journey, I'm here to support you with empathy, curiosity, and care.
